When Bronwyn and Brian bought their house two years ago, they believed the leaky roof was a temporary problem. However, within a few months, after some heavy rain, the roof was leaking again and there was a heavy musty smell inside the house. Then they could see mould growing on the surfaces and on their clothes, which they regularly clean with bleach.
On top of the problems with the house, Bronwyn and Brian suffer from constant fatigue and rarely a week goes by without at least one member of the family enduring a cold, flu or stomach bug. Each morning they wake up sneezing, and throughout the day they suffer from inexplicable mood swings and irritability.
Whenever they leave the house, the family feels better, and so they suspect their health issues may be linked to their home. However without the energy or the expertise to get to the bottom of the mystery, the Edler family including the two young children continue to suffer.
